About this level

Level 2 taught you to use AI well on a task. Level 3 is about the business doing it the same way every time, whether the owner is in the shop or on holiday.

The unit of work in this course is not the prompt; it is the workflow. You will inventory the workflows that actually run your business, mark which steps a model may prepare and which steps only a person may decide, and write each one up as a standard operating procedure that a new hire could follow on their second day. Every procedure starts with its hard stops: the sentences the business will never let a model produce unreviewed, the actions it will never let a tool take on its own, and the point at which the work leaves the procedure and goes to the owner or to a qualified professional.

From there the course builds outward. You will design assisted intake for the shared inbox and the phone, quoting and estimating pipelines that draw only from your own rate sheets, and escalation paths with named triggers. You will build a knowledge base that answers questions from your documents with citations, and test retrieval against a fixed question set before a customer ever sees it. You will specify integrations across bookkeeping, payments, customer records, online stores, and scheduling on a read-only default, with every write action listed and gated. And you will measure the result: sampling plans, error codes, service times, reviewer load, escalation and complaint rates, against a manual baseline you take before go-live.

The advanced case studies at the end are about knowing when to stop. An automation that saves twenty minutes and costs one furious customer a month is not a saving, and the discipline to switch something off is part of running operations.

Workflow inventory of at least eight workflows and a step-level map of the chosen workflow with every step classified and justified.
Complete SOP on the course template with hard stops first, each carrying a permitted alternative sentence, plus reviewer role, escalation, record, metrics, and retest triggers.
Risk tier analysis of every step with the four questions answered and proportionate controls, including one small-stakes step correctly identified as tier 3.
Knowledge base design with document control, exclusion list, citation rule, four boundary responses, and a retrieval test set of at least eight questions with expected answers written in advance.
Integration specification with reads, permitted and prohibited writes, approval gates, service credential scope, data flow, register rows, vendor-terms answers, and injection defence.

Who it is for

Owners, co-owners, general managers, and operations leads of businesses with roughly one to fifty staff who already use AI day to day and now have to make it repeatable across a team: trades and home services, restaurants and cafes, retail and e-commerce, salons and studios, repair shops, agencies, and professional-service firms. Also office managers and operations coordinators who will own the procedures the owner signs.

Prerequisites

Level 2, Certified AI Small Business Professional, must be completed first. Level 3 assumes you already have a prompt library, an approved-tools list, a data-classification rule, and a verification log in use. An administrator may record a documented waiver for equivalent prior training.
