Level 2 made you competent with AI on your own tasks. Level 3 is about the company: how a general contractor turns individual AI habits into operations that a new project engineer can follow, an owner's auditor can inspect, and a superintendent can trust when the schedule is tight.
The course begins with workflow design. You will map a real construction process, bid-to-award or submittal processing or change management, step by step, and decide which steps a model may draft, which it may compare, and which belong only to the estimator, the project manager, the competent person, or the licence holder. You will write that decision down as a standard operating procedure with roles, inputs, prompts, checks, sign-offs, and records, and tier every AI task by the harm a wrong output could do.
The middle of the course builds the infrastructure. A project knowledge base that answers questions from the executed contract, the current drawing revisions, and the specification with citations, and that refuses to answer from a superseded sheet. A company knowledge base of historical costs, means and methods, and lessons learned, cleaned of owner identifiers. Automations that turn field intake into action items and subcontractor compliance documents into expiry alerts, with integration boundaries that keep a model from writing to the schedule, the job cost ledger, or an outbound email without a person approving.
The final third is control and proof: quality sampling of AI output with a defect taxonomy, escalation paths and stop rules that send code, engineering, safety, payment, and legal questions to the right person, performance measures that show whether the workflow is helping, and three extended case studies on public work, a change-order dispute, and a site incident. The capstone asks you to design, document, and test one AI-assisted workflow for your own company on fictional project data.
