How this one is meant to be worked through, in the author's own words:
1. Read Chapters 4, 5, 6 and 22 before you take a single paid project. They are ownership, licensing, accessibility, and maintenance - the four things that end businesses in this trade.
2. Send the insurance scope document in Resource 32 to a broker this week, then book an attorney and an accountant. They take longest and everything else waits on them.
3. Sign the 'what I will not do' statement in Resource 3 while you are calm. Every item on it will eventually be offered to you with money attached in a month when you need the money.
4. Build the launch checklist (Resource 44) before your first launch, use it once, then fix it. Add a line every time something goes wrong, forever.
5. Test the contact form on every site you already maintain, and ask the recipient to confirm they saw it. It is the highest-value five minutes in the book.
6. Restore a backup today on one real site. A backup nobody has restored is a belief.
7. Print Resources 3, 43 and 65 and keep them where you work late. The never-upload list in particular is absolute rather than a judgement call.
8. Do not treat the worksheets as reading. They are blanks, and the blanks are the point - every price, count, and timing is yours.
Written to be used rather than skimmed. Every financial figure is left blank on purpose, and anything touching law, tax, insurance or data protection is written as questions for a qualified professional rather than answers.
