How this one is meant to be worked through, in the author's own words:
1. Read Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 before you buy anything. Chapter 2 explains why this book contains no chemistry numbers at all, and Chapter 3 contains the four rules that are never broken.
2. Book chemical handling training from a qualified provider and a certified first aid course. No book can teach chemical handling, and this one does not try.
3. Call an insurance broker and ask the pollution exclusion question in Section 8.6. Get the answer in writing before your first paid visit.
4. Call your local health department before servicing any pool that is not a private residential one — Section 5.3. Commercial, HOA, apartment, hotel and vacation-rental pools are classified differently and carry obligations you must confirm.
5. Buy a test kit that tests everything before you buy anything cosmetic, and date every reagent the day you open it.
6. Buy one dedicated measuring device per product, colour-coded, stored with its product. Section 3.5.
7. Read the Introduction, then Chapters 1, 5, 12, 15 and 17 if you want to start this season.
8. Print the six Resources files and fill them in as you read — thirty-nine templates and one hundred AI prompts.
Written to be used rather than skimmed. Every financial figure is left blank on purpose, and anything touching law, tax, insurance or data protection is written as questions for a qualified professional rather than answers.
