How this one is meant to be worked through, in the author's own words:
1. Read the Introduction and Chapters 4 to 7 first, in order. Those are the four rules, and everything after them assumes them.
2. If you already do this work, start with Chapter 6, then Chapter 20, then Chapter 5 - the announcement you have been making, the verbs you have been improving, and the credentials you should never have been given.
3. Move all drafting off-platform today, permanently. Save is publish, there is no author-only preview, and every professional writing habit you have assumes a draft that does not exist here. Chapter 6.
4. Ask the visibility questions at minute five of every intake, before any writing: does anybody at work know, is your manager connected to you, is anything happening in the next month, and would it be a problem if everything changed on Tuesday. Record what they decided and on which dates. Resource 15.
5. Ask every client which email address to use, and say why. A message from a profile writer in somebody's work inbox is evidence sitting on their employer's server, and most clients have not thought about it once. Section 31.1.
6. Never accept a client's login, at any price. Put the access clause in your agreement, including the sentence about credentials that arrive by accident - because a client will paste a password into a message unprompted, meaning to be helpful. Resource 18.
7. Read the platform's own current terms and brand guidelines yourself, write down what you read and the date, and re-check quarterly. Never tell a client what a platform permits, and never predict enforcement. Resource 3.
8. Run the truthfulness pass alone, before the client ever sees the draft - because once they have read a sentence they like, removing it becomes a negotiation. Underline every verb and locate each one in the interview transcript; any verb you cannot find is one you invented. Resource 27.
Written to be used rather than skimmed. Every financial figure is left blank on purpose, and anything touching law, tax, insurance or data protection is written as questions for a qualified professional rather than answers.
