How this one is meant to be worked through, in the author's own words:

1. Read the Introduction and Chapters 4 to 7 first, in order. Those are the four rules, and everything after them assumes them.
2. If you already deliver this work, start with Chapter 17, then Chapter 18, then Chapter 25 - the assessment you are probably skipping, the decisions nobody has made, and the exercise that exposes real data.
3. Ask everybody in the assessment the same question - 'what's the rule here?' - and count the different answers. That number is the finding, and it is usually more than three. Section 17.2.
4. Never state what a tool does, retains, or permits. State what you saw, on a date, from published terms - and re-check every assertion before every delivery, not quarterly. Chapter 4, Resource 3.
5. Never write, draft, or approve a client policy, including 'a draft to adapt'. Produce a record of their decisions, in their words, with their names against it. Chapter 5, Resource 23.
6. Give the non-reporting promise aloud before every assessment interview and at the start of every session, and refuse the who-struggled question every time it is asked. Chapter 6, Resource 25.
7. Build synthetic exercise material per client, read every document before it enters a room, and make real material physically unavailable during hands-on work. Rule 4 is preventable in advance. Chapter 7, Resource 34.
8. Put a gate after the assessment. Some engagements should conclude 'not yet', and a year with no 'not yet' means the gate is not real. Section 17.5, Section 32.5.

Written to be used rather than skimmed. Every financial figure is left blank on purpose, and anything touching law, tax, insurance or data protection is written as questions for a qualified professional rather than answers.
